Dark Ahsoka Series

Now that my Dark Ahsoka series is drawing to a close, it’s time to put up some Q&A. So let’s get to it.

1)      Why does Ahsoka turn and not Anakin?

Well, it all came down to one change and that was me writing that Ahsoka overheard Padmé tell Anakin that she was pregnant. Now you imagine hearing that the person you loved was secretly married and expecting a baby and you have one of the greatest powers ever but can’t make that person see you. That’s a hard damn thing to swallow and then you add in the type of person Ahsoka is and it made for a pretty convincing thing for Palpatine to take advantage of.

Next, Anakin couldn’t see Palpatine’s subtle manipulations until it was happening to his padawan and I mean, it’s like a person becoming a parent for the first time and suddenly they understand what their parents tried to get them to see. That’s how it was with Anakin.

Next even though Anakin was the ideal apprentice because he was stronger, his love for Padmé and guilt over thinking he killed her and his child would have always held him back, especially when he found out about Luke, but the thing about Ahsoka’s turn was that she felt rejected and so even though her cruelty is more subtle rejection fueled it making it, in my opinion a much more complete turn because now nothing is holding her back. Whereas Anakin’s love for Padmé was always the thing he grappled with even though he wanted to forget it.

2) What is Ahsoka’s sith name?

Pesinoé, based off the woman in greek mythology know as Peisinoé (I took out the other I because I didn’t like how it sounded) Anyway, she was one of the three sirens and she was the siren of seduction which I found fitting as Ahsoka’s sith name because she turned because she could get over not being able to get Anakin.

3) So does Palpatine forget about Anakin completely?

No, he doesn’t. But let’s all face it, Palpatine has more patience than any character in a story I’ve ever seen. Ahsoka (Pesinoé) knew Anakin was still alive and told him he had a son. So Palpatine doesn’t mind bidding his time while he waits for the kid to grow up and until the second story, Pesinoé is none the wiser to what’s happening and doesn’t care.

4) What happens in those eighteen (or nineteen) years between the first and second story?

What happened between RoS and ANH? I don’t know more than likely the same thing that happens in my story. Leave it to imagination other than the few things I do mention in the story like Leia growing up with her mother (not knowing who she was though) and Luke knowing Anakin as a mechanic. I might do a side story on it.

5) Why didn’t Anakin tell the twins who he and Padmé were from the beginning of the second story when he told Luke and Leia they were siblings?

Why didn’t Obi-Wan mention to Luke that Leia was his sister from the get go…? Might have changed the course of the story actually now that I think about it, but let’s not get into that… Anyway, it would have ruined what I had planned for the story so I came up with the jedi thing, that and other issues that were explored in the last story when Luke was mad at Anakin. Besides, if I didn’t have that, I would have had to rewrite the ending I had planned for TiD and then come up with another issue for AfD. It just had to be written that way. Anakin could have rebelled. I mean he married Padmé, but he was trying not to influence Luke and Leia with his opinions on Pesinoé and in TiD we all see how that turned out.

6) When Anakin and Luke go to destroy the Death Star, why does Luke still destroy it? Anakin is the better pilot. He could have done it from the get go.

Yeah, true. That’s why I got Pesinoé in the picture with her ladies to distract him. The reason I did it though was because I’ve read stories where Anakin destroys it and it takes the spotlight from Luke. Destroying the Death Star was Luke’s shining moment. Anakin was an old head (not really but you get my point). His time was during the clone wars and it was time for Luke to make a name for himself. I wanted Luke to be Luke Skywalker and not Anakin Skywalker’s son. I didn’t want him in that shadow since he and Leia were adults. Leia had already accomplished making a name for herself and Luke needed it too. Besides, Anakin knew his fight was with Pesinoé who he hadn’t confronted on any level in nearly twenty years.
